One of the most striking features is the ‘Kiyomizu no Butai’ or ‘Kiyomizu Stage’ extending from the main hall, providing a splendid vantage point to enjoy breathtaking vistas. The stage showcases scenic views throughout the seasons, captivating visitors, especially during cherry blossom and autumn foliage periods. The temple is also known for its special areas, such as the ‘Aizen-do,’ believed to bring blessings for romantic success, and the ‘Otowa-no-taki’ or ‘Sound of Feathers Waterfall,’ renowned for its pristine water. These elements contribute to making Kiyomizu-dera a cherished place for both tourists and worshipers. |

Ascending its stairs to the upper floor reveals a panoramic view of Kyoto city and enchanting scenes throughout the seasons. At the Hondo, located after climbing the approach, a beautiful garden unfolds, harmonizing dry landscapes and lush greenery, offering visitors a serene retreat.
